I joined the Propelo team as Finance Manager after relocating from London to York. For the last 7 years, I have been working for the multi-academy Trust, GLF Schools, in various finance roles across schools and the central office - most recently as Regional Finance Manager for two secondary and two primary academies. Managing school budgets and financial processes comes with its challenges (especially in this current climate!) but I love being involved in school operations and being part of a team of like-minded people that all care about the learning outcomes of children. I have a huge appreciation for the teaching profession and know how vital it is for schools and academies to have strong leaders in place.
I have also previously worked as a clerk to the governing body for another MAT, was a community governor for an LA school in the resources committee and have just started a new role as a parent governor for the Academy Council at my children’s new school.
Outside of work I spend most of my time with my two children so I am now an expert negotiator, party planner and taxi driver. I am a keen skier and snowboarder and will get to the mountains as often as I can. I enjoy stand-up comedy and dancing to cheesy music with friends but also love a nice relaxing sit down with a puzzle!
